What we collect, and why

RickXam is a CSEC Maths learning app being built in Jamaica. It isn't open yet. This page covers the waitlist and this website. When the app opens, we'll update it to cover student accounts too.

• Your email address.
• Who you are: a student, a parent or guardian, an adult re-sitting, or a teacher.
• When you or your child plan to sit CSEC Maths, and whether you'd like a place in the pilot.
• The tag on the link that brought you here, if it had one, like ?ref=whatsapp.
• Your answers to the optional questions after you join: what makes Maths hard, how you'd like to learn, when and on what you study, what you spend on extra lessons, and what you'd pay.

We don't ask for your name, phone number, address or school, and you can skip every optional question.

• To email you about the pilot and the launch, and nothing else.
• To choose who gets a pilot place.
• To decide what to build first and what RickXam should cost.
• To see which links bring people to the site.

• Sell or rent your details, or share them with advertisers.
• Send them to an AI service.
• Use advertising or tracking cookies on this website.

Your sign-up is stored in a database run for us by Supabase, and the website is hosted by Vercel. They process it only to run RickXam for us. Only the RickXam team can read the waitlist.

Your progress on the Try it page is saved in your browser, on your device, so it's there when you come back. It's never sent to us. Clearing your browser's data, or pressing “Clear my progress”, removes it.

If you're under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you join. When RickXam opens, a parent or guardian approves every student account and can delete it at any time.

Email hello@rickxam.com, or reply to any email from us, to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We'll do it within 30 days. Every email we send also lets you stop getting them.

We keep your sign-up until RickXam opens and the pilot is over, or until you ask us to delete it. If you don't go on to use RickXam, we delete it.

If we change this page, we'll update the date at the top and tell the waitlist about anything important.
